A UPS United Parcel Service Boeing 757-200, registration N454UP performing flight 5X-1278 from Louisville,KY to Raleigh/Durham,NC (USA), was enroute at FL310 about 100nm eastsoutheast of Louisville about 3 minutes after levelling off at FL310 when the crew initiated a descent to FL180 due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft continued to Raleigh/Durham for a safe landing about 50 minutes later.
The aircraft returned to service after about 17 hours on the ground.
