A VARA Virgin Australia Regional Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration VH-YUD performing flight VA-9275 from Perth,WA to West Angelas,WA (Australia), was climbing through FL330 out of Perth when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft returned to Perth for a safe landing on runway 21 about 50 minutes after departure.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Perth 8 hours after landing back.

On Jun 23rd 2022 the ATSB reported an engineering inspection revealed a fault at the #1 pack temperature sensor and a substantial tear in the #2 pack outlet duct. The occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated by the ATSB.
