A Vueling Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration EC-KRH performing flight
VY-3972 from Bilbao,SP (Spain) to Rome Fiumicino (Italy), was climbing out of Bilbao's runway 30 when the crew stopped the climb at FL070 reporting they had received an engine (CFM56) fire indication and decided to return to Bilbao. The aircraft landed safely on Bilbao's runway 30 about 25 minutes after departure and vacated the runway without any obvious evidence of a fire.
The flight was cancelled.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Bilbao about 51 hours after landing back.
