A Wasaya Airways de Havilland Dash 8-100, registration C-GOKN performing positioning flight WT-8161 from Sioux Lookout,ON to Thunder Bay,ON (Canada) with 2 crew, was enroute when the crew observed the WOW (Weight on Wheels) light illuminated. The crew declared emergency and continued to Thunder Bay for a safe landing.
The Canadian TSB reported maintenance inspected the WOW switch and found a rock jammed between proximity switch and scissor link. The rock was removed and the proximity switch and gap checked. The aircraft had been positioned with a special permit due to a gear problem on the previous flight.
