A Westjet Encore de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-GJWE performing flight
WS-3136 from Fort McMurray,AB to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 76 people on board, landed on Calgary's runway 35R and taxied to the apron.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Calgary standing Jun 3rd 2024 (almost two months later).
On Jun 3rd 2024 the Canadian TSB reported the tail of the aircraft contacted the runway surface, the crew received an annunciation "TOUCHED RUNWAY". The aircraft taxied to the apron and disembarked the passengers as normal. Maintenance determined there was substantial damage to the lower tail section of the aircraft. The TSB opened a Class 4 investigation.
