An Azul Linhas Aereas Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PR-TKJ performing flight
AD-2633 from Jaguaruna to Sao Paulo Viracopos,SP (Brazil), was on final approach to Viracopos' runway 15 descending through about 2500 feet MSL when the crew initiated a go around and a diversion to Sao Jose de Rio Preto,SP (Brazil) due to weather. While enroute to Sao Jose de Rio Preto still in bad weather conditions one of the engines (PW127M) shut down and auto-restarted shortly afterwards. The aircraft landed safely in Sao Jose de Rio Preto about 70 minutes after the go around.
