A BA CityFlyer Embraer ERJ-190, registration G-LCYR performing flight
BA-8474 from Malaga,SP (Spain) to London City,EN (UK), had departed Malaga's runway 13, climbed to FL360 and landed on London City Airport's runway 27 completing a seemingly uneventful flight.
During pre-flight preparations for the next sector BA-8455 to Amsterdam it was discovered however, that the left hand engine (CF34) had ingested a bird. Passengers, who had already boarded the aircraft, disembarked again, and the flight was cancelled.
A passenger booked onto BA-8455 reported that the captain announced during pre-flight preparations it was discovered that the #1 engine had ingested a bird presumably during the previous flight. The passengers disembarked again, and the flight was cancelled.
