A British Airways Airbus A321-200N, registration G-NEOS performing flight
BA-542 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Bologna (Italy), was climbing out of Heathrow's runway 09R when the crew stopped the climb at FL080 due to the cabin not pressurizing. The aircraft returned to Heathrow for a safe landing on runway 09L about 35 minutes after departure.
A replacement A321-200N registration G-NEOR departed the following morning and reached Bologna with a delay of about 17 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 4 hours after landing back.
A passenger reported the captain called the lead flight attendant into the cockpit due to cabin pressure issues and returned to London.
