A British Airways Airbus A320-200, registration G-EUYD performing flight BA-568 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Milan Linate (Italy), was on approach to Linate when the crew reported engine (V2527) trouble and entered a hold. The crew subsequently shut the engine down and continued to Linate for a safe landing on runway 35. The aircraft stopped on the runway, was shut down and subsequently towed to the apron.

The return flight was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Milan two days later.
