A Delta Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration N3766 performing flight
DL-2120 from Las Vegas,NV to Los Angeles,CA (USA) with 155 people on board, was climbing out of Las Vegas' runway 26R when the crew stopped the climb at 7000 feet reporting they had a flight control problem with the flaps and needed to return to Las Vegas. After working checklists the crew positioned for an approach to runway 26R and landed safely back about 30 minutes after departure.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration N3739P reached Los Angeles with a delay of about 16.5 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Las Vegas about 36 hours after landing.
