A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N1200K performing flight DL-245 from Catania (Italy) to New York JFK,NY (USA), was enroute at FL380 about 220nm east of Goose Bay,NL (Canada) when flight attendants informed the flight crew about a burning electrical smell in the aft cabin. The crew diverted the aircraft to Goose Bay for a safe landing on runway 08 about 40 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance inspected the aircraft and replaced number 4 and number 5 galley ovens.

The occurrence aircraft positioned to JFK the following day.
