An Easyjet Airbus A320-200, registration G-EZUA performing flight
U2-8239 from London Gatwick,EN (UK) to Santorini (Greece), was enroute at FL350 about 20nm west of Munich (Germany) when the crew decided to divert to Munich due to the smell of smoke in the cabin. The aircraft landed safely on Munich's runway 08R about 40 minutes later.
A replacement A320-200 registration G-EZWK is estimated to reach Santorini with a delay of about 7 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Munich about 7 hours after landing.
