An Endeavor Canadair CRJ-900 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N228PQ performing flight
DL-4926 from New York La Guardia,NY to St. Louis,MO (USA) with 80 people on board, was climbing out of La Guardia's runway 31 when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet advising their right hand engine was indicating a little high subsequently adding the ITT was a bit high. The crew decided to return to La Guardia advising there was no emergency, ATC declared emergency for the flight however. The aircraft entered a hold and landed safely on La Guardia's runway 22 about one hour after departure.
A replacement CRJ-900 registration N607LR reached St. Louis with a delay of about 14 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 14 hours after landing back.
