An Eurowings Airbus A320-200N, registration D-AENE performing flight EW-7514 from Hamburg (Germany) to Ibiza,SP (Spain), was accelerating for takeoff from Hamburg's runway 23 when the aircraft received a bird strike prompting the crew to reject takeoff at high speed. The aircraft came to a stop at about the midpoint of the runway, subsequently vacated the runway and returned to the apron.

The aircraft is still on the ground about 6 hours after the rejected takeoff.

A replacement Airbus A320-200 registration D-AEWQ is estimated to reach Ibiza with a delay of about 5 hours.
