AI-154 from Vienna (Austria) to Delhi (India), was enroute at FL390 about 310nm northwest of Dubai (United Arab Emirates) when the aircraft began to deviate from its assigned flight level, climbing to 39100, then back to 39000 and again to 39125 feet asssociated with the failure of autopilot, autothrust, flight director, autoland, and the degradation of flight controls. The crew was unable to re-engage one of the autopilots and handflew the aircraft for a safe landing on Dubai's runway 12L about 55 minutes later.
The airline reported the aircraft diverted to Dubai due to a suspected technical problem.
