JL-3837 from Amami O Shima to Kikaiga Shima (Japan) with 27 people on board, was climbing out of Amami's runway 03 when the crew stopped the climb at 3000 feet due to a hydraulic failure. The aircraft returned to Amami for a safe landing on runway 03 about 25 minutes after departure and stopped on the runway. The runway was closed for about one hour.
The flight was cancelled.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Amami about 34 hours after landing back.
