JL-3801 from Kagoshima to Wadomari (Japan) with 35 people on board, was climbing out of Kagoshima's runway 34 when the crew received indication of a malfunction of the right hand propeller speed (engine PW127M), stopped the climb at 6000 feet and returned to Kagoshima for a safe landing on runway 34 about 35 minutes after departure.
A replacement ATR-72-212A registration JA06JC reached Wadomari with a delay of about 3 hours.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 5 hours after landing.
