A Jetblue Airbus A321-200N, registration N2180J performing flight B6-2220 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to New York JFK,NY (USA), was enroute at FL340 over the Atlantic Ocean about 400nm west of Shannon (Ireland) when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (PW1133G) down. The aircraft drifted down to FL200 and diverted to Shannon where the aircraft landed overweight but safely about 90 minutes after leaving FL340.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Shannon about 8 hours after landing.
