A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200N, registration D-AIJB performing flight
LH-806 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Stockholm (Sweden), was accelerating for intersection takeoff from runway 25C when the crew rejected takeoff at low speed (around 70 knots) due to a bird strike into the right hand engine (PW1127G). The aircraft slowed safely and vacated the runway via a high speed turn off about 970m/3200 feet further down the runway. The aircraft taxied to a remote stand.
A replacement A320-200N registration D-AINA reached Stockholm with a delay of about 80 minutes.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 31 hours after the rejected takeoff.
