A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIUI performing flight LH-210 from Frankfurt/Main to Dresden (Germany), was climbing out of Frankfurt's runway 07C when the crew stopped the climb at about FL240 reporting unreliable airspeed. The aircraft returned to Frankfurt for a safe landing on runway 07C about 40 minutes after departure.

A post flight inspection found a wasp had found its way into the #1 pitot tube causing the captain's IAS to indicate about 25-30 knots lower than the first officer's airspeed.

A replacement A320-200 registration D-AIZX reached Dresden with a delay of about 3.5 hours.
