A Lufthansa Airbus A340-300, registration D-AIGV performing flight LH-758 from Frankfurt/Main (Germany) to Chennai (India), was enroute at FL330 about 40nm south of Prague (Czech Republic) when the crew descended the aircraft to FL290 and subsequently decided to turn around, dump fuel, descend to FL190 and return to Frankfurt. The aircraft landed safely on Frankfurt's runway 25C about 2:20 hours after departure.

Germany's DFS reported the aircraft aborted the flight due to engine (CFM56) damage and dumped fuel.

The airline told passengers the flight turned back due to "Airspace restrictions".
