An Air Panama Fokker 50, registration HP-1793PST performing flight 7P-681 from Bocas del Toro to Panama City (Panama), was enroute at 14000 feet when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (PW125B) down. The aircraft diverted to Rio Hato (Panama) for a safe landing.

Panama's Civil Aviation Authority reported they are investigating a technical incident on Air Panama's flight 681.
