A Skywest Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N244SY performing flight
DL-4122 from Minneapolis,MN to Bentonville,AR (USA) with 52 people on board, was climbing out of Minneapolis' runway 17 when the crew declared Mayday reporting an engine #2 (CF34, right hand) failure. The aircraft entered a hold at 9000 feet for about 50 minutes and returned to Minneapolis for a safe landing on runway 13R about 65 minutes after departure, the aircraft taxied to the apron.
The airline reported an indication of an engine issue.
A replacement ERJ-175 registration N255SY reached Bentonville with a delay of about 4 hours.
