A Smartwings Boeing 737-700, registration OK-SWW performing flight
QS-4372 from Gothenburg (Sweden) to Rovaniemi (Finland), was climbing out of Gothenburg's runway 03 when shortly after takeoff the lead flight attendant attempted to contact the cockpit, the crew however due to workload did not respond. While climbing through 5000 feet the lead flight attendant reported very loud noise from the left forward (L1) door. The flight crew checked the cabin pressure with no anomaly noted but decided to return to Gothenburg as a precaution and informed ATC, at that point the "DIFF PRESS" light came on indicating a problem with the cabin pressure. The aircraft landed safely on runway 03 about 23 minutes after departure.
The aircraft was able to depart again and reached Rovaniemi with a delay of about 2 hours.
Czechia's UZPLN reported after landing the crew sent interior and exterior photos of the door to maintenance and operations, which showed the door had been incompletely closed.
