A Srilankan Airbus A330-200, registration 4R-ALH performing flight UL-225 from Colombo (Sri Lanka) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) with 189 passengers and 15 crew, was enroute at FL380 about 200nm northwest of Colombo when the crew decided to return to Colombo due to a cracked windshield. The aircraft descended to FL230 for the return and landed safely back in Colombo about 40 minutes after turning around.

The aircraft was scheduled to depart in the evening of Apr 7th 2023, however, departed only with a delay of 5.5 hours to return again.

The flight was cancelled.
