A Swiftair Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-200 freighter, registration EC-JXF performing flight
WT-4759 from Marseille to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France), was climbing out of Marseille's runway 13L when the crew stopped the climb at about 4000 feet and decided to return to Marseille for a safe landing on runway 13L about 25 minutes after departure.
The French BEA opened an investigation reporting the aircraft suffered the failure of the aircraft performance system, the disconnection of the autopilot and hardening of flight controls in stormy night conditions.
