A THY Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration TC-JHY performing flight TK-884 from Istanbul (Turkey) to Shiraz (Iran), was climbing out of Istanbul's runway 35L when the crew stopped the climb at about FL270 and descended the aircraft to 10,000 feet due to a cracked windshield. The aircraft entered a hold to burn off fuel. The aircraft landed safely back on Istanbul's runway 17L about 90 minutes after departure.

The rotation was cancelled.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Istanbul about 23 hours after landing back.
