A Westjet Boeing 737-700, registration C-FWSV performing flight WS-309 from Calgary,AB to Comox,BC (Canada) with 120 passengers and 5 crew, was on a RNP approach to Comox's runway 30 when the crew selected the flaps to 15 degrees but received indication of a trailing edge flaps asymmetry. The performed a missed approach, declared PAN PAN and entered a hold, then worked the related checklist. After leaving the hold the crew declared MAYDAY due to fuel quantity on board and worked the low fuel checklist. The aircraft landed on runway 30 about 30 minutes after the flaps asymmetry indication.

The Canadian TSB reported 3300 lbs of fuel were remaining on shutdown of the aircraft. Maintenance found the trailing edge flap indicator and the alternate flap drive motor inoperative, both were replaced.
