A Westjet Boeing 737-800, registration C-FUSM performing flight WS-656 from Calgary,AB to Toronto,ON (Canada), was enroute at FL370 about 70nm northeast of Winnipeg when the first officer became ill and was unable to continue duties. A deadheading Westjet captain assumed the duties of the first officer, the aircraft turned around and diverted to Winnipeg for a safe landing about 40 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported the first officer was taken to a local hospital for assessment.
