U4901 - Accident: Buddha AT72 at Bhadrapur on Jan 2nd 2026

A Buddha Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration 9N-AMF performing flight U4-901 from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur (Nepal) with 51 people on board, landed on Bhadrapur's runway 28 at 21:06L (15:21Z) but overran the end of the runway and ran over a creek before coming to a stop about 170 meters/560 feet past the runway end. There were minor injuries, the aircraft received substantial damage.
On Jan 16th 2026 Nepal's CAAN reported minor injuries, the aircraft sustained substantial damage, the occurrence was rated an accident. The aircraft came to a stop 183 meters past the end of runway 28 during landing.
