An Air Canada Airbus A321-200, registration C-GJWN performing flight
AC-601 from Halifax,NS to Toronto,ON (Canada), was descending towards Toronto when the crew heard a noise and felt unusual vibrations under the floor of the flightdeck followed by fumes on the flight deck. The crew donned their oxygen masks, declared PAN PAN and continued for a safe landing on runway 24L with emergency services on stand by.
The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found a faulty avionics blower fan, which was replaced.
The aircraft returned to service after about 6.5 hours on the ground in Toronto.
