An Air Canada Rouge Airbus A319-100, registration C-FYJG performing flight
RV-1926 from Regina,SK to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 133 people on board, was enroute when the crew experienced spurious and random failures of their cockpit displays, communication, lightings etc. Communication with ATC was disrupted but could be restored after the crew started the APU and declared PAN PAN. The crew consulted with maintenance, who identified IDG1 as cause of the problems. All systems returned to normal after IDG1 was shut down. The crew cancelled PAN PAN and continued to Toronto for a safe landing.
The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced IDG1.
