A Flysafair Boeing 737-800, registration ZS-FGD performing flight
FA-222 from Johannesburg to George (South Africa), was on final approach to George's runway 11 descending through 1200 feet MSL when the crew initiated a go around due to a flaps problem. The aircraft climbed to 6000 feet and entered a hold while the crew was working the relateed checklists. The aircraft subsequently positioned for another approach to runway 11 and landed safely about 30 minutes after the go around.
The aircraft returned to service about 8:15 hours after landing.
