A Jetsmart Airbus A320-200N, registration CC-AWV performing flight
JA-17 from Calama to La Serena (Chile), was enroute at FL370 about 140nm southsoutheast of Antofagasta (Chile) when the crew observed a loss of oil quantity and oil pressure for the left hand engine (PW1127G) and decided to divert to Antogasta for a safe landing on runway 19 about 45 minutes later.
Chile's Civil Aviation Authority rated the occurrence an incident and opened an investigation.
