An Aer Lingus Airbus A320-200, registration EI-DER performing flight
EI-401 from Rome Fiumicino (Italy) to Dublin (Ireland), was descending towards Dublin over the St. George's Channel when the crew declared PAN PAN reporting a hydraulic problem and decided to divert to Shannon (Ireland), where the aircraft landed safely on runway 24 about 30 minutes later.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Shannon about 8.5 hours after landing.
