A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIQW performing flight
LH-1125 from Barcelona,SP (Spain) to Frankfurt/Main (Germany), was enroute at FL300 about 20nm south of Toulouse (France) when the crew initiated an emergency descent and diverted to Toulouse for a safe landing on runway 32L about 28 minutes later.
A passenger reported the captain announced prior to departure that the aircraft had sustained a bird strike on approach to Barcelona, maintenance was checking the aircraft, which departed with a delay of about 30 minutes as result. In cruise flight the captain initiated an emergency descent, later announcing they had pressurization issues. A replacement aircraft took them to Frankfurt.
A replacement A320-200 registration D-AIQS reached Frankfurt with a delay of about 4:45 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Toulouse about 57 hours after landing.
