A SATA Azores Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration CS-TRE performing flight
S4-160 from Ponta Delgada to Funchal (Portugal) with 9 passengers on board, was enroute at FL250 about 200nm northwest of Funchal when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL100 due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft continued to Funchal for a safe landing on runway 05 about 55 minutes after leaving FL250.
Local Madeira media report a pregnant woman on board felt ill as result of the cabin pressure problems and was assisted by emergency services after landing.
