A Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 777-200 freighter, registration HZ-AK72 performing flight SV-972 from Dammam (Saudi Arabia) to Hong Kong (China), was enroute at FL390 about 90nm westnorthwest of Kolkata (India) when the crew decided to divert to Kolkata due to a cracked windshield. The aircraft landed safely in Kolkata about 32 minutes later.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Kolkata about 34 hours after landing.
