A THY Turkish Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration TC-JJF performing flight
TK-3 from Istanbul (Turkey) to New York JFK,NY (USA), was enroute at FL340 about 510nm south of Keflavik (Iceland) when the crew decided to divert to Keflavik due to an engine (GE90) failure. The aircraft drifted down to FL240 and landed safely in Keflavik about 85 minutes later.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Keflavik about 5 hours after landing.
