A VivaAeroBus Airbus A320-200N, registration XA-VIV performing flight
VB-2167 from Monterrey to Cancun (Mexico), was descending through about 5000 feet MSL towards Cancun about 34nm out when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (PW1127G) down due to low oil pressure. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Cancun's runway 12R about 10 minutes later.
Mexico's AIB rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
