A Westjet Encore de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-FWEW performing flight WS-3627 from Portland,OR (USA) to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 71 people on board, landed on Calgary's runway 29 at (22:44Z) however was not aligned with the runway axis and touched down at +2.47G. The aircraft rolled out without further incident.

The aircraft continued service until and including Jun 6th 2024 for a total of 8 sectors before the aircraft was taken out of service until Jun 22nd 2024.

The Canadian TSB reported: "During the landing on Runway 29 in CYYC, the aircraft touched down with a recorded vertical acceleration of 2.47 g with the longitudinal axis of the aircraft not aligned with the runway track. Company maintenance completed a Phase 2 inspection on the aircraft, and subsequently replaced the right-hand main landing gear assembly due to the side load experienced during the landing." The TSB rated the occurrence an accident but did not open an investigation after initial data collection (Class 5 occurrence).
