A Binter Canarias Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration EC-MVI performing flight NT-501 from Lanzarote,CI to Las Palmas,CI (Spain) with 69 passengers and 4 crew, landed on Las Palmas' runway 03L when the crew noticed a slight deviation to the left of the runway center line and re-aligned the aircraft with the runway center line, however, noticed the deceleration was more rapid than expected. The aircraft stopped on the runway center line. An inspection of the aircraft on the runway revealed abrasion damage to tyres and wheel rims of the main gear.

Spain's CIAIAC opened an investigation into the occurrence stating the aircraft sustained substantial damage. There were no injuries. The occurrence was rated an accident.
