A Buzz Boeing 737-800 on behalf of Ryanair, registration SP-RST performing flight FR-451 from Krakow (Poland) to Newcastle,EN (UK), was on final approach to Newcastle's runway 25 when the crew initiated a go around reporting problems with the flaps. The aircraft positioned for another approach to Newcastle's runway 25 and landed without further incident with emergency services on stand by.

A ground observer, waiting for another flight, reported the aircraft vacated the runway and taxied to a stand with emergency vehicles in trail, a few minutes later the fire engines departed and the passengers began to disembark. The aircraft still had their flaps and slats extended to a mid position.

The aircraft remained on the ground in Newcastle for about 6 hours, then performed the return flight to Krakow with a delay of about 6 hours.
