A Lauda Europe Airbus A320-200 on behalf of Ryanair, registration 9H-LMT performing flight
FR-2345 from Helsinki (Finland) to London Stansted,EN (UK), was climbing out of Helsinki's runway 04R when the right hand engine (CFM56) ingested a number of birds prompting the crew to level off at FL100 and return to Helsinki for a safe landing on runway 04L about 40 minutes after departure.
The passengers were taken to hotels.
The aircraft was able to depart again after about 15 hours on the ground and reached London with a delay of about 16 hours.
