A SAS Scandinavian Airlines Embraer ERJ-195, registration SE-RSK performing flight
SK-238 from Bergen to Oslo (Norway), was climbing out of Bergen's runway 35 when the crew stopped the climb at FL090 and returned to Bergen for a safe landing on runway 35 about 25 minutes later.
A passenger reported the crew announced a bird strike into the left hand engine (CF34), there was a very loud noise.
The airline confirmed a bird strike into one of the engines. The flight needed to be cancelled.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Bergen about 26 hours after landing back.
