A Ryanair Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration EI-IGK performing flight FR-7124 from Dublin (Ireland) to Arrecife,CI (Spain), was accelerating for takeoff from Dublin's runway 28R at 19:19L (18:19Z) when during initial acceleration the aircraft veered left off the runway center line and went past the left runway egde. The aircraft returned onto the runway center line, continued takeoff and the flight for a landing at the destination without further incident about 3.5 hours later.

According to information The Aviation Herald received the aircraft lined up runway 28R via taxiway N2 but lined up to the right of the runway center line (but not with the right runway edge line), corrected to the left beyond the runway edge line and returned onto the center line about abeam taxiway N3, the crew did not report the excursion and continued the flight to destination. ATC witnessed the unusual maneouver but was unsure about and queried another aircraft, who reported that they had not noticed anything unusual. Another aircraft subsequently reported having seen some smoke and seeing tyre tracks showing the aircraft had left the runway. A runway inspection confirmed tyre tracks leading off the runway with left main and nose gear beyond the left runway edge, close to but not on the soft ground.

The IAA have opened an investigation mentioning: "Runway excursion at commencement of take-off roll."

The aircraft remained on the ground in Arrecife for about 9 hours, then performed the return flight and continued service.
